Description
1. Product Overview
A Pipe Elbow is a critical fitting installed between two lengths of pipe or tubing to allow a change of direction, usually a 90° or 45° angle. When the ends differ in size, the fitting is called a reducing elbow. Our elbows are manufactured to provide smooth flow with minimal resistance, ensuring the integrity of high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline systems.
2. Classification
By Angle:
- 45 Degree Elbow: Used for smaller directional changes.
- 90 Degree Elbow: The most common angle for standard piping layouts.
- 180 Degree Elbow (Return): Used to reverse the flow direction completely.
By Radius of Curvature:
- Long Radius (LR) Elbow: The radius of curvature is 1.5 times the nominal diameter (R=1.5D). It provides lower pressure drop and is used for standard applications.
- Short Radius (SR) Elbow: The radius of curvature is equal to the nominal diameter (R=1.0D). It is typically used in tight spaces where room is limited.

5. Manufacturing Process
Our pipe elbows undergo a multi-stage production process to ensure uniform wall thickness and structural strength:
Raw Material Cutting → Heating → Forming (Hot Pushing/Cold Forming) → Heat Treatment → Calibration → End Beveling → Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) → Coating/Marking → Packing.

Technical Workflow: Cold/Hot Forming, Beveling, and Inspection
6. Applications
Pipe elbows are indispensable in infrastructure projects where fluid direction must be diverted safely:
- Petroleum and Natural Gas transmission.
- Chemical and Petrochemical processing.
- Electric Power generation and Thermal plants.
- Shipbuilding and Marine engineering.
- Water treatment and Urban construction.
