Description

1. Product Overview

A Pipe Reducer is a kind of pipe fitting used to join two pipes of different diameters, primarily applied to alter the fluid flow rate in a piping system. Depending on the alignment of the pipe centerlines, reducers are classified into two main types:

Concentric Reducer

Designed with matching centerlines. The reduction is uniform around the pipe. They are typically used in vertical pipe lines to maintain a symmetrical flow and reduce turbulence.

Eccentric Reducer

Designed with an offset centerline, maintaining a flat edge on one side (usually the bottom). They are essential in horizontal liquid pipelines to prevent the accumulation of air or gas bubbles.
