Premium FBE / 2LPE / 3LPE Coated Steel Pipe

Our 3LPE (3-Layer Polyethylene), 2LPE, and FBE Coated Steel Pipes provide the ultimate anti-corrosion solution for buried and subsea pipelines. By combining the excellent chemical resistance of Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) with the outstanding mechanical protection of high-density polyethylene (PE), these pipes ensure long-term durability and structural integrity in harsh environments.

  • Coating Systems: 3LPE (FBE + Adhesive + PE), 2LPE (Adhesive + PE), FBE.

  • Size Range: Outer Diameter (O.D.) 1/2″ to 100″ (21.3mm – 2540mm) | Wall Thickness (W.T.) 2.0mm – 60mm.

  • Operating Temp: -40°C to +80°C.

  • Key Standards: DIN 30670, ISO 21809-1, CAN/CSA Z245.20/21.

Description

1. Product Overview

We provide industry-leading anti-corrosion coated steel pipes, including 3LPE (3-Layer Polyethylene), 2LPE, and FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) coatings. These advanced coating systems are designed to protect steel pipelines operating in harsh subterranean and subsea environments.

The 3LPE system is globally recognized as the premier choice for pipeline corrosion protection, seamlessly merging the chemical bonding strength of FBE with the robust mechanical shielding of polyethylene.

2. Coating Layers Structure (3LPE)

  • Layer 1: Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE): The first layer is an anti-corrosion FBE primer that chemically bonds to the prepared steel surface, providing excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment.
  • Layer 2: Copolymer Adhesive: The middle layer is a grafted copolymer adhesive that acts as a tie layer, firmly bonding the FBE primer to the outer polyethylene layer.
  • Layer 3: Polyethylene (PE): The outermost layer is a tough polyethylene jacket that provides superior mechanical protection, resisting impact, abrasion, and moisture penetration.

* Note: The 2LPE system consists of only the Adhesive and PE layers (without the FBE primer).
