Description

1. Product Overview

LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding) or SAWL pipes are large-diameter steel pipes known for their reliability in high-pressure and heavy-duty environments. The primary forming technologies for LSAW pipes are JCOE and UOE.

  • JCOE Forming: Consists of Crimping, U-forming, O-forming, and Expanding. It utilizes multiple pressing steps to shape the steel plate into a pipe.
  • UOE Forming: Consists of U-forming, O-forming, and Expanding. This process shapes the pipe using a single, massive press.

These forming methods, combined with submerged arc welding, allow LSAW pipes to be manufactured with exceptionally thick walls and large diameters, making them ideal for heavy structural applications and long-distance fluid transmission.

4. Manufacturing Process Flow

Our LSAW pipes are manufactured under stringent quality controls. The steel plates go through edge milling, forming (either JCOE or UOE), tack welding, and double-sided submerged arc welding (inside and outside). To guarantee optimal shape and mechanical integrity, all pipes undergo an expansion process followed by comprehensive non-destructive testing (Ultrasonic and X-ray).

Production Flow:
Plate Inspection → Edge Milling → Crimping → Pressing (U-ing, O-ing) → Tack Welding → Inside/Outside Welding → Expanding → Ultrasonic Testing → X-ray Testing → Final Inspection.
